Going forward, talent at KMBC will no longer be permitted to appear on “Week in Review,” a weekly show produced for Kansas City public television.
Bottom Line Communications reports the decision was made to free up KMBC anchors and reporters as the station plans to expand news coverage going into the new year. Station management said the changes will “require a major commitment of time and resources.”
“We understand that our news talent is in great demand, but we must manage this valuable resource to ensure that we consistently deliver the best source for news every day,” KMBC creative services director Paul Tranisi told Bottom Line.
