KHOU anchor Ron Trevino was arrested Tuesday night for DUI, the Houston CBS affiliate reports on its website.
“We are aware of the circumstances surrounding the arrest and are grateful that neither Ron nor any others were injured in this incident,” the station said in a statement online. “…KHOU supports Ron as he goes through the legal process.”
It is the first offense for Trevino, who anchors the morning newscasts at KHOU, according to the Houston Chronicle. He was released on a $500 bond and will next appear in court on March 19.
