Residents of Chickasha, OK are now calling him the Chainsaw Bandit. An over-confident young man entered a local hardware store this week and tried to steal a chainsaw by concealing it in his shorts.
“I felt sorry for him, I thought the gentleman was crippled,” one employee told Oklahoma City’s KFOR, recounting what the man looked like walking through the store with a chainsaw stuffed in his shorts.

The shoplifter was eventually chased down and cornered in a nearby creek. KFOR’s story is now getting lots of attention online. So far it’s been picked up by AOL News and MSNBC.com, and become a favorite on Facebook.
