KFOR Names Sports Director to Replace the Late Bob Barry, Jr.

By Kevin Eck

Brian Brinkley has been named sports director for Oklahoma City NBC affiliate KFOR.

Brinkley has worked at KFOR since 1990. The station says he worked for Bob Barry, Sr., then Bob Barry, Jr. who was killed in a car accident in June.

“I’m humbled to be carrying on their legacy,” said Brinkley. “They obviously set the standard for sports broadcasting in Oklahoma. Bob Senior took me under his wing and told me everything I needed to know about doing this job the *right* way. And then in the years that followed, Bobby showed me *how* to get the job done, while still having a lot of fun doing it.”
