A Santa Barbara television station news van blew a tire and rolled over twice Monday afternoon on U.S. Highway 101 in Santa Maria, injuring the driver-cameraman and KEYT senior reporter John Palminteri, the California Highway Patrol said.
Palminteri and driver Oscar Flores, who were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, were taken to Marian Medical Center for treatment of cuts and bruises and were released.

CHP Officer Gus Lopez said the van was heading south on the freeway around 70 mph when the right rear tire began to shred and the tire blew, sending the van out of control and rolling into the center divider.More…
