Kent Dana came back to KPNX to team up with his son Joe, who is an anchor at the Phoenix NBC affiliate.

The two paired up for a series called Family Footsteps about kids who have followed their parents careers.

Kent’s dad Joe was a local radio and TV personality. Grandpa Joe hosted a show on KPNX for 25 years.

Kent Dana retired from KPNX in 2009 after working as an anchor in Phoenix for more than 30 years. Grandpa Joe died in 2004.

“I think he has gotten a kick out this whole experience,” KPNX anchor Joe told The Arizona Republic. “It’s been neat to see him have a little extra pep these past few days. In a small way, he’s back in the saddle.”
