Kent Dana retired from KPNX in 2009 after working as an anchor in Phoenix for more than 30 years. Grandpa Joe died in 2004.

“I think he has gotten a kick out this whole experience,” KPNX anchor Joe told The Arizona Republic. “It’s been neat to see him have a little extra pep these past few days. In a small way, he’s back in the saddle.”
