KDVR Starting Midday Newscast, Expanding Morning News

By Kevin Eck

Starting April 11, viewers of Denver Fox affiliate KDVR can catch the morning news a half-hour earlier at 4:30 a.m. and will have an 11 a.m. newscast to watch.

“The FOX31 team is committed to providing news when and where our viewers need it,” said KDVR-KWGN vp and GM Joan Barrett. “The earlier morning start and a mid-day newscast are ways we believe we can better serve Coloradans and we will continue to look for more opportunities in the future.”

Morning show anchors Brooke Wagner, Kirk Yuhnke and meteorologist Greg Dutra will anchor the midday show.

The expansion means KDVR will broadcast 44.5 hours of local news per week.
