Erika Stanish has been promoted to weekend evening anchor at Pittsburgh CBS owned station KDKA.
“It is such an honor to be able to fill the seat of so many legendary anchors that have come before me at KDKA,” she wrote on Facebook. “I remember dreaming of this job when I started in the business … and after years of hard work and patience, I am thrilled to be able to say I’m now living my dream!”
Stanish joined the station in October 2021.
“I always knew I wanted to report in Pittsburgh, so it’s been amazing,” Stanish told the Post-Gazette. “I always hoped I would take on the responsibility of being an anchor, so this is a position I won’t take lightly and is something I look forward to.”

Before working at KDKA, Stanish also worked at WJAC in Johnstown, Pa. and at KOKH in Oklahoma City before that.
“This is where I‘m from, this is where I want to be and I’m excited to see where the journey takes me,” she said.
