Brian Flores is leaving Seattle Fox owned station KCPQ.

In a goodbye posted to social media, Flores said that goodbyes are always difficult and thanked viewers for watching.

“A little more than six years after I started, this is my last week at Fox 13 Seattle,” said Flores. “There are too many stories and moments to name. I just hope I earned your trust through it all.”

Flores also announced that he is joining CBS Colorado (KCNC) in Denver as a morning anchor.

“After 17 years working in news, this is my first full-time anchor role,” he said. “This is a dream come true and a chance to be closer to family. Something I haven’t had in my career since my kids were toddlers. There were many times when I didn’t think I’d ever get this chance. But from prayer and perseverance, here it is. Again, thankful through it all. I can’t wait to get started.”

Before joining KCPQ in 2016, Flores was a morning anchor and reporter for KTVU in Oakland. Before that, he worked in San Diego and in Kennewick, Wash.
