KARK chief meteorologist Keith Monahan suffered a minor stroke on-air on Thursday.

On Friday, he let everyone know he was OK with a Tweet.

“Yesterday I had an episode on the air,” said Monahan. “It was a bit scary, so I went to the ER. Doctors discovered I had a minor stroke. My main symptom was difficulty with speech. Full recovery is expected. Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers!”

Monahan was doing his weather segment on the Little Rock NBC affiliate when he started fumbling with his words and walked off camera. He seemed to rally for a few seconds before he stopped talking.

“I was able to get the proper stroke meds and was admitted to the hospital,” he updated viewers on Facebook. “My main symptoms were some confusion and difficulty with speech. Physically I am fine, just tired. I have more tests today and should be released tomorrow. I’m feeling well and should be back to my “old” self soon. Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers—they are much appreciated!”
