Kansas City ABC affiliate KMBC and CW affiliate KCWE are going to be airing more news starting Monday, April 25.
KMBC is launching a 4 p.m. newscast while KCWE will expand its 9 p.m. to a full hour. The new show means KMBC will be doing 51 hours of local news, sports and weather.
“The launch of our new 4:00PM newscast will provide them with another opportunity to receive the important local news content they want and deserve,” said KMBC-KCWE GM Sarah Smith. “The expansion of KMBC 9 News at 9:00PM on KCWE to one hour will allow us to extend the depth of our coverage and deliver more news and weather.”
