Wichita ABC affiliate KAKE has hired one anchor and promoted another to fill the spot left by the departure of Susan Peters.
The Wichita Business Journal reports Jim Grimes will join Deb Farris for the evening newscasts.
Grimes comes to the station from Talent Dynamics where he was a consultant. He’s also worked at KDAF in Dallas, KPRC in Houston, WINK in Fort Myers, Fla. and KLST in San Angelo, Texas.

Farris has been the 4 p.m. anchor since 2007 and has worked at KAKE since 1992.
