KAIT, the ABC affiliate for Jonesboro, AR, celebrated 50 years as a broadcast TV station.

Anchors Diana Davis and Craig Rickert hosted a show documenting the station’s history which included showing movies “Johnny Concho” starring Frank Sinatra and “The Indian Fighter” starring Kirk Douglas on July 15, 1963, the first day of broadcasting.

Tracey Rogers, KAIT vice president and general manger tells TVSpy, “The KAIT family is proud to serve the viewers of Northeast Arkansas for 50 years. We were humbled this week by the outpouring of love and support we received from Region 8 as we celebrated this major milestone in our history. I can’t think of a better way to do that than having a big party and inviting all of our viewers.”
