Jovana Lara has been named co-anchor of KABC‘s 5 p.m. newscast.
Lara is the midday anchor at the Los Angeles ABC-owned station. She replaces Michelle Tuzee, who left the station in December after 23 years due to health concerns.
“Excited to share I’m officially partnering up with @abc7marc for Eyewitness News @ 5pm!” Lara wrote on Twitter. “Grateful for the opportunity, especially as I celebrate 20 yrs with #ABC7! Hope you’ll join us Mon-Fri afternoons & at 11am as I continue to share the desk with @abc7phillip.”

Lara has worked at the station since 2000.
