“Our hearts are broken,” tweeted WCBS morning anchor Chris Wragge. “We will miss your smile, your warmth, your presence. Rest In Peace young lady.”

“She was one of my best friends,” wrote Nashville reporter A.J. Abell. “In college, we had plans of co-anchoring in Philadelphia together (our hometown); earlier this year, we thought maybe that idea wasn’t so far-fetched.”

Kapur attended Syracuse University. She graduated in 2014 and started her career at WDVM in Maryland. She joined WCBS in 2019 after reporting for News 12 Connecticut.

Additional details about the accident have not yet been reported.
