WFLD was shorthanded so the station’s anchors asked comedian Jon Lovitz to help out.
The former SNL comedian who was known for being married to Morgan Fairchild (Yeah, that’s the ticket) ran the wrong scripts to anchors Darlene Hill and Corey McPherrin. That mistake started an awkward run through the halls of the Fox-owned Chicago station which almost ended with Lovitz getting tripped up by a camera cable.
After Lovitz finally got his act together, without help from the yelling anchors, the station pitched his upcoming show. “Good thing I’m an athlete,” said Lovitz.
