Jimmy Kimmel took over for KABC sports anchor Rob Fukuzaki on ABC owned station’s evening newscast Monday night (video above). “Today is National Rob Fukuzaki Day,” Kimmel said. “All over the country there is crowds of people taking to the streets, celebrating Rob’s life, celebrating Rob’s work, celebrating Rob’s impact.”
Saying he wanted to give Fukuzaki the night off, Kimmel finished the KABC sportscast: “At the Winter Olympics, the U.S. team only won one gold today. And it was in ice dancing, which isn’t even a sport. In fact, I’m not sure it’s even dancing,” he joked. “All I know is, I don’t like it.” [h/t NewsBlues]
