Jesse Jones Officially Joins KIRO

Jesse-Jones2In August, consumer reporter Jesse Jones left Seattle NBC affiliate KING after nine years at the station.

Jones had a new gig lined up at rival CBS affiliate KIRO, but had to wait a few months to start due to a non-compete clause. Well, those few months are up, and Jones is officially part of the KIRO news team.

“Jesse works tirelessly on behalf of the people of Western Washington to get results,” KIRO news director Jake Milstein said in a statement. “He’s an excellent addition to the KIRO 7 team, which spends every hour of every day, serving the Seattle area with valuable news, weather and traffic.”

“I couldn’t be happier to be at KIRO 7,” Jones added. “A new family and team, but we are still here to help Western Washington face their consumer issues head on. I can’t wait to get started.”

It looks like Jones is already in investigation mode, with a story on companies who clean air ducts airing on Monday. (“Do they really do the job like they say? We set up hidden cameras to find out.”)

You can catch Jones weekdays at 5:45 p.m. on KIRO.
