Monroe, Louisiana CBS affiliate KNOE has hired Jenifer Andrews as a weeknight anchor.

Andrews comes from WJCL in Savannah, Ga., where she was an anchor.

“We are thrilled to bring home to the KNOE anchor desk and newsroom someone of Jenifer’s journalistic experience and knowledge,” said KNOE vp and GM Laura Long. “At a time in the television business, when talent is constantly changing, Jenifer has made a long-term commitment to return to her roots, where she will serve as an advocate for our viewers and as a mentor to young journalists getting their starts at KNOE.”

Andrews, who replaces Jenna Browder, joins Chris Brown, chief meteorologist Tom Pearson and sports director Aaron Dietrich at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. starting August 1.
