Jeff Castle Named Chief Meteorologist at KSLA

jeff castleJeff Castle has been named chief meteorologist at KSLA, the CBS affiliate in Shreveport, La. It is a move within Raycom for Castle, who has worked at WAFF in Huntsville, Ala., since 2002.

“I’m going to miss everyone here at WAFF 48,” Castle said in a statement. “It has been a tremendous leaning experience. The people here at WAFF have mentored me for the new role I’m about to take on.  I want to thank the viewers who have welcomed me into their home and have trusted me with bringing them the weather information they need to start their day.”

At WAFF, Castle was the morning meteorologist. He has previously worked at WKEF in Dayton, KFDA in Amarillo and KOCO in Oklahoma City.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Jeff and although he will be greatly missed at WAFF, we are happy he is staying within the Raycom family,” WAFF general manager Vanessa Oubre said.
