Jamaican television fare got more interesting last Monday night when CVM TV unveiled its brand new reality series, The Anchor. The half-hour series aims to discover the next big television persona who will soon occupy the anchor’s rostrum at the station.
More than 250 persons responded to the advertisements and after two days of auditions before the teleprompter, the selection process began. Next Monday night at 9:00 pm, a second batch of ‘wannabes’ will demonstrate their presentation skills by reading a script laden with tongue twisters. All this is in an effort to win a piece of the $1,500,000 in prizes that will be divided among those who make it to the final rounds. More…
