Jacksonville Stations Team Up To Raise Money For Irma Victims

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

On most days First Coast News, the NBC-ABC affiliate in Jacksonville, Florida and WJXT, the CBS station in the market, are competition.

But the stations, owned by Tegna and Graham Media Group, respectively, have launched a campaign First Coast Strong using the hashtag, #firstcoaststrong on social media.

The campaign launched during the Jacksonville Jaquars game yesterday. The stations will continue to promote the campaign to raise money for the United Way of Northeast Florida benefiting those hardest hit by Hurricane Irma.
