It was the ringing bells at Flagler College and the empty streets of St. Augustine, a beach town in the Jacksonville, Fla., market, that got to First Coast News reporter Jessica Clark.
The multimedia journalist was out shooting a story in the desolate streets when the lack of sights and sounds brought her to tears.
“I’m going to take my mask off for a minute,” she said in a Facebook video.
Clark took a minute to reflect on how different things are and how so many small businesses have been shuttered.
“This is tough. This is tough. The city is empty and businesses are suffering, but the sound of that music is so comforting,” she said.
