Today is National Weatherperson’s Day.
Local morning shows had fun honoring their favorite forecasters, both on and off television.
WVLA threw its morning meteorologist Kevan Smith a ice cream party.
Thanks to @ILoveBlueBell for surprising and honoring @KSBTRWeatherNOW this morning for #nationalweatherpersonsday with their newest flavor, Raspberry Fudge Brownie! It’s GOOD! @WVLANBCLocal33 #Local33Today pic.twitter.com/FagHiQxLyr

And for WUSA meteorologist Melissa Nord got a printer in the weather department.
“Happy #NationalWeatherpersonsDay @TenaciousTopper @hbwx @MiriWeather – they just delivered our new printer!! 🙌 Logan from engineering is installing. This could be better than cake or ice cream… we’ll see if it has problems once installed.”
