It Looks Like This Buffalo Anchor Is Getting a New Contract

By Kevin Eck

It sounds like WKBW anchor Keith Radford is getting a contract extension after he turns 65.

Michael Nurse, GM of the Buffalo ABC affiliate, told The Buffalo News “We are interested in extending Keith beyond his present contract.”

Radford was moved from his 5 and 11 p.m. anchor chair after Ashley Rowe came down from Canada. Radford now anchors the noon Friday show, solos the 5:30 p.m. and co-anchors at 6:00 p.m. with Rowe.

“Nurse confirmed Radford’s move to noon – where Channel 7 is a distant second to Channel 4 in a news time slot where Channel 2 doesn’t compete,”reports The News. “Is a permanent one designed to give anchor Katie Morse more time to do stories for other newscasts.”
