“I want to let you know that I’ll be leaving FOX19 around the end of this month,” Nordin wrote on his facebook page. “My partner is a physician/medical researcher who needs to be in China for two more years. And the 15+ months we’ve been apart have been agonizing. So I’ll be off to China to do some reporting from one of the world’s biggest and most interesting economies. And I also hope to teach some children how to speak English, since in many cases, that’s the key to them having a good middle-class life. I am going to miss this great city, though! I mean it!!

Before coming to WXIX in April 2012, Nordin worked at WMBF in Myrtle Beach. He has also worked at KTVA in Anchorage and WSPA in Spartanburg, SC.
