Longtime sports reporter and columnist Bob Kravitz has been laid off by WTHR, the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis.
The Indystar confirmed the news.
On Wednesday, Kravitz addressed the rumors on Facebook, and said he will remain at the station until mid-November.

“There’s no backstory here, nothing embarrassing or sinister. Just a business decision they made,” he said.
This is part of a larger round of layoffs at the station, according to the paper.
In 2014, Kravitz left the Indystar for his TV gig. He spent 14 years as a sports columnist.
