James T. Aitken has been named vp and GM of Tribune’s Indianapolis CBS and Fox affiliates WTTV–WXIN.
Aitken, who last worked as GM of KDAF in Dallas, takes over for Paul Rennie. Tribune moved Rennie to WGN in Chicago in July.
“It’s always nice when you have an internal candidate who is suited for a move within the company,” said Kathy Clements, COO if Tribune Broadcasting. “Jamie’s experience in running duopolies and his broad market experience gives him the skills required to lead a large operation with varying levels of complexity.”

Before working in Kansas City, Aitken was president and GM of KREM-KSKN in Spokane, Wa.
