In Orlando, WFTV Offers Cash to Draw Viewers from Rival

The November ratings race intensified this morning when WFTV-Channel 9 started a viewer cash contest from 6:45 to 7 a.m. to catch up with WESH-Channel 2. WFTV will continue to offer $5,000 Tuesday and Wednesday, the final days of the November ratings period.

“It’s intended to drive viewing in that time period. We make no bones about that,” WFTV news director Bob Jordan said.
