In Louisiana, Longtime Anchor Says Goodbye to KNOE

Longtime KNOE-TV anchor Judy Wagoner announced on the air during the 6 p.m. newscast Wednesday that she is leaving the station after 28 years.

KNOE provided Wagoner an opportunity to thank the public, her colleagues, the Noe family, who previously owned the station and hired her, and Hoak Media Corp., the current owner, at the end of the broadcast.

Wagoner told viewers she was leaving the Twin Cities for a job oppoturnity in Chicago.

Wagoner was the longest serving anchor on television in Louisiana, broadcasting more than 15,000 newscasts, spending the past 18 years at the desk with John Denison. More…
