Lauren Silverman said it’s time for her “to do the mom thing.”
That’s why the KLKN-TV news anchor will leave the station after the birth of her second child in May.
Silverman, 29, and her husband, Paul Durban, are expecting a boy. They have another son, Brady, who turns 2 in February.
“Paul runs a business from home, and we do a split shift with (Brady),” Silverman said. “I don’t think it would go well with a toddler and an infant. I don’t think (Paul) would get any work done.”
Silverman started at KLKN, Lincoln’s ABC affiliate, as a reporter in March 2004 and joined Rod Fowler on the anchor desk the following year.
She said she and her husband, who operates an online marketing business, plan to stay in Lincoln after she leaves KLKN. More…
