In Central Illinois, Wind Knocks Out Signals of WMBD and WYZZ

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

For two hours on Friday morning, WMBD and WYZZ viewers in Peoria, Ill., saw color bars instead of the morning show.

The station issued a statement saying an electrical issue in the control room knocked the Nexstar station’s signal off the air from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

There was a strong wind advisory in the area when it happened.
