Houston Fox Station Adds Remeisha Shade as Weather Anchor

By Kevin Eck

Remeisha Shade will join Houston Fox owned station KRIV as weekday evening weather anchor.

Starting in September, Shade will join Mike Iscovitz, Lena Maria Arango and John Dawson on the weekday 5, 6, 9, and 10 p.m. newscasts.

“Remeisha was inspired to pursue a career in meteorology as a teenager when she and her family lived through an F4 tornado, which destroyed her neighborhood and home,” said KRIV vice president and news director, Susan Schiller. “Since then, she understands the potentially life-saving nature of weather reporting and will bring that passion to our broadcast and digital viewers.

Shade most recently worked as meteorologist for WEWS in Cleveland. Before that, she was a weekend meteorologist for KXAS in Dallas. She’s also worked at WAFF in Huntsville, Ala. and started her career as a meteorologist and reporter for KBMT in Beaumont, Texas.

“I’m thrilled to be returning to the south and the great state of Texas, where I started my career as a meteorologist,” said Shade. “I’m passionate about weather and look forward to working with the Fox 26 weather team to bring viewers the most accurate forecasts possible.”
