When Eastern Connecticut schools closed for a few days because of the recent storm, some of the school kids wanted more.
A student at Fitch High School in Groton, Ct. didn’t turn to some fancy internet to see if she could extend her snow vacation, she turned to WTIC meteorologist Dan Amarante.
@SedaGSahin I'll put in a good word. Closing's not likely, although I see that New London schools are off tomorrow. Maybe a delay?

Some had requests that were very specific.
@pedroolopezz_ Wish I had that kind of power…

Some requests were wider in scope.
@DanAmarante do you think their will be school in CT tomorrow

When one teen was unimpressed, Amarante said he’d go the extra mile.
@Baily123456789 Have your superintendent follow me on Twitter and I'll DM him/her and tell them what's up with the weather…

He got his own meme.
Big shoutout to Fitch HS in Groton. I've met about 90 future meteorologists tonight. They even made a meme out of me! pic.twitter.com/FHBKt1fOum

One got a bit greedy.
@asebastian1699 Probably not. I was pretty bad at geometry. Throw me some physics and it's game on.

Then this happened.
Who else is going to get @DanAmarante tattoos after school tomorrow
