In this week’s edition of stories we didn’t get to for one reason or another, we hear about a violent storm in Oklahoma that blew out the windows of a news chopper and we root for a speedy recovery for a new Dayton anchor who has been diagnosed with Cancer.

The KWTV helicopter had its windows blown out due to hail described as “up to golf balls to baseball size” while covering a large damaging tornado. Click here to see the tweet.
WLWT and Hearst Television announced today that Charlie Clifford is joining WLWT News 5 as a sports anchor and reporter. Viewers can expect to see Clifford starting next week covering the Bengals and the NFL draft. Click here for more.

Laura Lee, who announced last month she is leaving Rochester’s ABC 6 News after 13 years as an anchor, has revealed her next career move will take her to Duluth. Click here for more.
Mark McPherson is set to return to Wisconsin as WMTV NBC15′s next evening anchor and reporter. He replaces John Stofflet, who announced last summer that he will retire from his current role and sign-off for the final time at the end of this June. His retirement comes as John celebrates 40 years in television news— the last 18 of those on the desk at WMTV in Madison. Click here to read more.
Two longtime reporters at KPRC 2 Houston will now be working behind the anchor news desk on the weekends. Reporters Cathy Hernandez and Brittany Jeffers will co-anchor the Channel 2 news every Saturday and Sunday mornings alongside meteorologist Khambrel Marshall. Click here for more.

WHIO anchor Nick Foley was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells, and typically affects the bones and immune system. Foley will begin treatment for the illness later this week. Click here to read about it.
Adis Juklo is moving to Pittsburgh. “My time in Harrisburg is coming to an end. Starting in early May, I’ll be a full time member of WPXI’s weather team. Next weekend will be my last at ABC27.
