Howdy and happy Friday to all who celebrate. It’s time for another edition of the stories we couldn’t get to this week.

A Gray owned station in North Platte, Nebraska fired its news director and co-anchor over her role in creating a sanctuary city for the unborn in her hometown of Curtis. She helped gather signatures for a local anti-abortion measure. Click here for the story.

WSB anchor John Pruitt has published a book called Tell it True. Click here to read about it.

Nashville paper The Tennessean did a story on WKRN anchor Neil Orne visiting a sushi restaurant. Click here to watch.

While The Des Moines Register did a story about America’s first Hmong anchor, Chenue Her. Click here to learn more.

KWTX in Central Texas found a story that will likely go national. A local woman is warning parents not to watch the sequel to Disney movie Hocus Pocus. “Do not watch this film,” she warned about Hocus Pocus 2. “Everybody thinks it’s fake and innocent, but they could be casting any type of spell that they want to, anything could be coming through that TV screen into your home.” Click here to read about it.
