Following nearly five months of being off-air, KRIV Houston anchor Denise Middleton finally made her return to local TV news on Monday. The weekend morning anchor last appeared on the channel in late November 2022. Click here for more.

KMSP morning anchor Alix Kendall was getting ready for a breezy, long weekend getaway in New York last month when she fell face first onto the spire of a wrought iron fence. “I seem to have a knack for clumsiness,” Kendall said with a laugh. Click here for more.

After eight years on local television, Mid-Michigan Now news anchor Dave Bondy says he’s leaving TV to pursue other career opportunities. Longtime KPIX reporter Bill Schechner has died at 81. The Chronicle recalls Schechner’s Bay Area media tenure as “the bushy mustache era of TV newscasters,” and memorializes him as “the master of the light feature.” And Schechner’s quintessential light feature was that annual Thanksgiving “Turkey Facts” segment that KPIX aired for years, which delves into some legitimately interesting turkey trivia, like how the term “turkey” became derogatory. It was a heartfelt homecoming for longtime Cincinnati anchor Courtis Fuller (pictured) who stepped away from the desk for several months to have a large, rare cancerous tumor removed from the base of his skull. “It’s great to be back,” Fuller said when he made his on-air return over the weekend. Two-time Republican candidate for New Mexico office Mark Ronchetti hasn’t been heard from much since losing the governor’s race to Michelle Lujan Grisham in November. But now, the Santa Fe Reporter’s Andrew Oxford reports, the former TV meteorologist is involved in a lawsuit related to that 2022 campaign as well as his failed 2020 bid for U.S. Senate.
