In this week’s edition we hear about what is believed to be the sixth bilingual female meteorologist in the United States to get her AMS seal, while a former Kansas City anchor said she left local TV to become an advocate for kids in Jackson County’s Family Court system.

Houston media blogger Mike McGuff reports that Larry Ramirez has been promoted to sports director at KSAT in San Antonio. He takes the spot vacated by Greg Simmons who resigned in January 2023 after being arrested and charged with DWI. Click here for more.

Local Kansas City anchor and reporter Gabriella Pagan suddenly disappeared from television last year. She told Up To Date she had to leave her career in journalism to confront childhood trauma and abuse in her past. That’s how she became an advocate for kids in Jackson County’s Family Court system. The Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation today announced that the Foundation has donated $10,000 to “The Road to Recovery Telethon” to assist with the cleanup and recovery efforts in Crawford County, IL, and Sullivan County, IN, following a deadly EF-3 tornado on Friday, March 31.
