Hearst Urges 30% Local TV Ownership Cap

Hearst Television wants the FCC to relax its small-market duopoly rule to common ownership of two or more stations in a market if their combined audience is less than 30% and if the combination passes routine antitrust review.

Hearst asked the FCC to adopt the same proposal back in 2003 when the agency conducted its last major review of its media ownership rules.
