Andrew Jackson is leaving Honolulu, Hawaii ABC affiliate KITV to be the evp and COO of advertising for Anthology Marketing Group.

Before coming to KITV in 2010, Jackson was svp of Marketing for BBC Worldwide.

“This is a new position within our advertising group, which is our largest operating division along with digital, public relations and research divisions,” Jackson told Pacific Business News.

Jackson has more than two decades of experience in the broadcast industry. He has held roles in production, marketing and news in Hawaii, New York and California.

“This is a continuation of the career I’ve been on from the beginning,” he said. “I’ve always been in advertising and marketing — we’re an ad driven business.”

Managing the 100-employee, multi-million dollar KITV station was a valuable experience, Jackson said, calling network marketing departments “in-house advertising” agencies.

“The technology in advertising now allows real-time feedback on client campaigns,” he said. “Diving into that is exciting.”
