Coleen Marren is retiring from Fox affiliate WTIC after six years.

Marren returned to the Tribune-owned station in 2010 from KDKA in Pittsburgh, Pa. She held the position once before at WITC from 1990 until 1996.

“After an award-winning journalism career spanning nearly four decades, Coleen has decided to turn her focus to teaching and lecturing,” read a note from station GM Jon Hitchcock obtained by TVSpy. “Coleen has led FOX61’s newsroom for seven years, overseeing our stations 61 hours of weekly news coverage. During her tenure Coleen has faced significant news stories such as tropical storm Sandy, countless snowstorms, blizzards and our Newtown tragedy. We are grateful for her contribution to our newsroom and wish her the very best in her next chapter.”
