Jeff Stoecker is leaving NBC owned Hartford station WVIT.
“Wednesday is my last day at WVIT,” Stoecker told TVSpy. “I had conversations with management as far back as last summer where I told them I wasn’t interested in staying in my current position. There are no surprises here. What happens next? I’m going to Puerto Rico for a few days to get the hell out of the cold! After that, all I can say is we shall see.”
The Laurel reports, “…management gave him a warm send off, thanked him for his work and wished him “nothing but the best” as he “pursues new opportunities.”

Stoecker started at WVIT in 2009. Before that he worked at WTEN in Albany, N.Y.
