Gurvir Dhindsa is returning to WAGA‘s “Good Day Atlanta.”

Dhindsa, who has been working as an anchor for D.C. Fox O&O WTTG since 2004, previously anchored “Good Day Atlanta” from 1997 to 2000.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Gurvir back,” said WAGA vice president and general manager Bill Schneider, in making the announcement. “Her knowledge of Atlanta combined with her ability to connect with viewers makes her the ideal candidate to host ‘Good Day.'”

Dhindsa is replacing Suchita Vadlamani, who abruptly left the station in December. She’ll anchor alongside Mark Hayes.

“Coming back to Atlanta has crossed my mind many times over the years,” Dhindsa told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I’ve often said ‘Good Day Atlanta’ was the best job I ever had.”
