Gray Television Names Jay Baron VP-GM of Charlottesville Stations

Jay Baron is the new vice president and general manager for WVAC-WVAW-WAHU, Gray Television’s triopoly in Charlottesville.

Baron, a Charlottesville native, comes from WBNG in Binghamton, where he has been local sales manager and new media manager since January 2010. He replaces Brad Ramsey, who left for WVEC earlier this month, beginning December 3.

“We are excited to have been able to recruit someone who has such a diverse background in television to lead our Charlottesville stations,” Tracy Jones, Gray’s regional vice president for Virginia, said in a statement.
