After five years as general manager of WITN in Greenville, Chris Mossman will move within Gray Television to take over as GM of WKYT in Lexington.
Mossman will also serve as regional vice president of Gray’s Kentucky and Tennesse stations, which include WBKO in Bowling Green, WYMT in Hazard and WVLT in Knoxville.
Mark Gentner, who has been general sales manager at WITN since 2007, will be promoted to general manager at the NBC affiliate. In his new role, he will oversee the final stages of construction on WITN’s new studio building in Greenville, N.C.
“I am thrilled to be leading WITN at a time when it is about to move into the premier broadcast facility in eastern North Carolina,” Gentner said in a statement. “While this will be a model for other modern broadcast operations across the nation, it is important for us to remember that we serve a wide geographical area and this will help us to be highly focused on the needs of our viewers throughout the area.”
