Good Day Philadelphia Anchor Back After Taking Vocal Rest Hiatus

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

Good Day Philadelphia anchor Alex Holley is back today after a short hiatus to rest her voice.

The WTXF morning personality made an announcement to viewers in August saying doctors told her she had developed some vocal cord issues. She hosts a four-hour morning show alongside Mike Jerrick, Monday through Friday.

“It’s a lot of talking, and, apparently, it’s been pretty tough on my voice – so much so I’ve developed some vocal chord issues,” she said on social media.

After a few weeks off, Holley is back anchoring.

“My first words,” she wrote in an Instagram post this morning.

Holley joined the Fox station in 2014 as a Good Day co-host.
