Good Day New York anchor Rosanna Scotto’s son is a key witness in a high profile murder trial happening now in New York City.
The Daily News confirmed her son, Louis Ruggiero, will testify against James Rackover, who is accused of killing and attempting to dismember a man in 2016.
According to prosecutors, Ruggiero and Rackover were close friends. The paper confirmed that Rackover told Ruggiero about the murder, hoping he would stay quiet.

Rackover’s older companion, Jeffery Rackover and the WNYW anchor are reported to be associated through in the New York social scene.
Prosecutors have not yet to publicly disclose Ruggiero’s name in the case so far. The 24-year-old is expected to take the stand this week.
