Good Day L.A. entertainment anchor Amanda Salas is fighting cancer and hosted a “buzz” party with industry friends.

Salas was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma and when she started chemotherapy, her hair began falling out. TV friends joined her as she shaved her head this week.

“Diagnosed w/ #nonHodgkinslymphoma, my girl @AmandaSalas @FOXLA tackles #cancer head on w/ this “buzz” party surrounded by friends. W/ her 1st round of #chemotherapy she started losing her hair. Still your #beauty AND signature #humor shine with or without!” said KTTV anchor Christine Devine.

Salas has received shout outs from many in the industry including former Good Day L.A. host Jillian Barbarie who is also fighting cancer.

“You are a brave beautiful warrior!!!!!! Although we’ve never met, you are part of my family and I adore you. I’m here for you. Xoxoxoxoxo,” Barbarie said

Salas seems to be embracing her new look as well. In a tweet on Monday, Salas talked about the perks of having a shaved head.
