Glitch Forces Some Baseball Fans to Watch ‘Bethenny’ Instead of World Series

By Kevin Eck

After being able to watch the first inning of yesterday’s game five of the World Series, some viewers of Honolulu FOX affiliate KHON were forced to watch the talk show “Bethenny” instead.

At the end of the first, the World Series signal cut out on Time Warner Cable and was replaced by the daytime talker.

“The problem was not our fault,” Kristina Lockwood, president and general manager of KHON, told the Honolulu Star Advertiser. “Apparently the Time Warner fiber connection at Queen Street was lost. Time Warner fixed it immediately.”

The game was back by the bottom of the third inning and baseball fans got to watch the Boston Red Sox beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3-1 instead of an interview with Javon ‘Vawn’ Sims, talking about why men cheat. The Red Sox lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.
