Freelance Reporter Goes Full Time at WGN

Mike Lowe has been named full-time reporter for Tribune’s Chicago-owned station WGN.

Chicago media writer Robert Feder first reported the news that Lowe was made permanent after working for more than a year as a per diem reporter.

Lowe interned in the WGN sports department from 1998 until 1999. He’s worked at WITI in Milwaukee, WFMZ in Allentown, Pa., WLNS in Lansing, Mich., PBS affiliate WTTW and radio station WNUR in Chicago and KTKA in Topeka, Kan.
